Alison Shuemake Scholarship
Marshall High School is a cornerstone of the Middletown community — a place where students are challenged to grow, lead, and serve. This scholarship was established to recognize the best of what Marshall students represent: hard work, resilience, and a genuine desire to contribute to something greater than themselves.
Each year, this scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who embodies the spirit of Marshall — a student who has made the most of their time in school, given back to their community, and is ready to carry those values forward into college and beyond.

Eligibility & Selection
The Alison Shuemake Scholarship is open year-round. Selection is based on the following criteria:
- Graduating senior currently enrolled at Marshall High School
- Students pursuing an academic or technical degree or certification
- Financial need is considered but not required
How to Apply
Applications are submitted through the Scholarship Portal during the regular scholarship cycle each winter. Follow these steps to get started.
Confirm Eligibility
Verify that you are a graduating senior at Marshall High School and meet the GPA and application requirements listed above.
Prepare Your Materials
Write your personal essay, gather your transcripts, and secure two letters of recommendation from people who know your character and work.
Submit via the Scholarship Portal
Log in to the SLM Scholarship Portal and complete your application before the posted deadline. Late applications are not accepted.
Await Notification
Recipients are notified in the spring and honored at a community celebration alongside all MCF scholarship winners.
