AAUW SCHOLARSHIPS
Established by the American Association of University Women. Student
applicants (male or female) shall be seniors from Carlisle, Edgewood,
Fenwick, Franklin, Monroe, Madison, Middletown, Middletown
Christian or Springboro High Schools
AK STEEL CORPORATION SCHOLARSHIPS
Available for the sons
and daughters of AK Steel Corporation employees. Renewable for four
years. Applications available at the AK Steel Offices.
LOUIE
F. COX MEMORIAL AK STEEL AFRICAN-AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP
Available
for Butler and Warren County High School Seniors that will be majoring
in business, engineering, or computer science at an accredited U.S.
college or university. Applicants need not be related to an AK
Steel employee. Applications may be downloaded from www.mcfoundation.org.
GARDNER
SCHOLARSHIPS
Available
for most students, based on need, renewable for four years.
HARVEY SCHOLARSHIP
Available
for all students, based on need, renewable for four years. The
scholarship is only for students attending colleges and universities
supported by the State of Ohio Board of Regents.
THE
LOUIS B. McCALLAY SCHOLARSHIP
Available for all students, based on
academic performance, citizenship and financial need. The scholarship
may be renewable for four years.
MIDDLETOWN
FIRE
FIGHTERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
Available to graduating high school students from any high school within
City of
Middletown
or if the student’s parent is an
employee of the City of
Middletown
. Student must have participated in
community service. The scholarship is for any field of study. Academic
achievement, extracurricular activities and need may be considered in
selecting the most appropriate recipient.
The Veteran’s
Memorial Scholarship
To provide academic assistance to those who have served in all
branches of the United States Military, Military Reserve, Merchant
Marine during World War II or National Guard, or for any of their family
members. 1. Military
service is defined as honorable service , past or present, 2. Family
member is defined as any child, grandchild, spouse, widow, or dependent.
CINCINNATI SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
Available to all students. The Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation has a
variety of donor designated scholarships. Application forms are
available in the school counseling office or by writing to:

Field of Interest Scholarships
FOR MIDDLETOWN CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL
AUDUBON SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
Area seniors who are interested in the natural sciences (biology,
botany, ecology, geology and zoology) and are planning on pursuing a
college major related to the natural sciences.
BURTON SCHOLARSHIP FOR ORGAN STUDIES
Students age 15 to 25
who wish to study organ to become church musicians. Contact the
Middletown Community Foundation for information.
CARPENTER SCHOLARSHIP
Available for all students who will be attending Wittenberg University in
Springfield, Ohio. Renewable for four years based on need.
LORENE J. CHENAULT SCHOLARSHIP
This award is for any
student attending Miami University -Middletown pursuing study in the
area of art. Applications are to be made directly with the Miami
University Office of Financial Aid.
ALISON HARRIS FIORA SCHOLARSHIP
Area seniors who are enrolling in a four year nursing program.
Cedric
H. Glover Performing Arts Memorial Scholarship
This award will be given to a senior performing arts student graduating
from an area high school with preference given to Middletown High School
since Cedric was a Middletown High School graduate. The award may be
used for educational purposes only and is non-renewable.
NELLIE LOSH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Area residents who have completed two years of nursing education and/or
graduate nurses who are studying for a master degree in nursing.
THE MARJORIE JOHNSTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This honorary
scholarship is for students entering the field of nursing and health
related areas of study. Available to Butler County area high school
students, with preference for Lemon-Monroe High School students.
POLICE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for the sons and daughters of all employees
of the Middletown Division of Police. Applications may be obtained at
the Middletown Division of Police or from the office of the Middletown
Community Foundation.
Louis
John Johnen Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is to be awarded annually to a high school senior who is
graduating from any Middletown Area school. This applicant must be attending or
planning to attend an accredited college with plans to pursue a career in vocal
music (performance major or education major). A CD or video recording
demonstrating vocal talent must accompany the application.
